Prof. Ilya Avianti Officially Joins the Board of Trustees of Prasasti Center, Strengthening Indonesia's New Think Tank
Congratulations! To Prof. Dr. Ilya Avianti, SE., M.Sc., Ak., CA., Professor of FEB Unpad and former Commissioner of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of the Republic of Indonesia, for being SELECTED as a member of the BOARD OF TRUSTEES at the Prasasti Center for Policy Studies (Prasasti) — the first independent think tank in Indonesia which was officially launched on Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta.
The inauguration of ‘Prasasti’ was carried out directly by Hashim Djojohadikusumo, Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Advisory Board and younger brother of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. In his remarks, Hashim stated that Prasasti is present as an institution based on data and scientific studies to provide objective input on various government policies.
As a member of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Ilya Avianti joins a number of other prominent national figures, such as Prof. Jimly Asshiddiqie (former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court), Soedradjad Djiwandono (former Governor of BI and professor at NTU Singapore), Fuad Bawazier (former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia), Ronald Waas (former Deputy Governor of BI), and Laode Masihu Kamaluddin (Rector of the University of Insan Cendikia Indonesia).
This institution is also strengthened by the Board of Advisors consisting of senior figures such as Burhanuddin Abdullah (Governor of BI 2003–2008), Hashim Djojohadikusumo (Founder of PT Arsari Group), Gandi Sulistiyanto (former Wantimpres and Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea), Ellyus Achiruddin, and Prijono Sugiarto (President of PT Astra International).
In his speech, Burhanuddin Abdullah said that Prasasti was designed as a collaborative space between academics, industry players, civil society, and the government — an institution that exists to read the dynamics of the times and respond to them with a long-term vision based on science and experience.
Prasasti will focus on national strategic issues contained in the Asta Cita grand agenda, such as food self-sufficiency, energy security, industrialization, and investment, including in responding to geopolitical tensions and global social transformation.
