Bandung, 8 Agustus 2026 — The FEB Summer Program 2026 from2–8 August 2026 held under the theme “Beyond Digital: Culture and Sustainability for the Future.” The program combined academic learning with cross-cultural experiences, digital transformation, and sustainability issues.
A total of 44 participants took part in the program, comprising students from Universiti Sains Malaysia and the National University of Management (Cambodia), as well as recipients of The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS) and the Unpad ASEAN Scholarship 2026 from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Suriname, Kenya, Timor-Leste, and Myanmar. Activities took place at the FEB Unpad Dipati Ukur and Jatinangor campuses, along with several learning sites across West Java.
The program opened with a series of academic sessions featuring FEB Unpad lecturers, industry practitioners, and international academic partners. Prof. Arief Anshory Yusuf discussed welfare- and equity-oriented development, while Danang Juffry (Google) examined smart and inclusive regional development. In further academic sessions, sustainability perspectives were explored in depth with Prof. Martha Fani Cahyandito on responsible business, and Dr. Parulian Sihotang (University of Dundee) on business value creation that accounts for impact and sustainability. The sessions also featured Jan Ole Oßenbrink of Hochschule Osnabrück and Mindshift Indonesia, who facilitated participants from various countries in collaborating and working as a team through group dynamics sessions.
At the Jatinangor campus, participants gained insights into digital transformation with Rora Puspita Sari, Ph.D., and sustainable community development with Rizky Ramadhan, Ph.D., in addition to taking part in a design thinking workshop led by the Mindshift team.
Beyond learning on the Unpad campuses, participants in the FEB Summer Program 2026 also joined an artisan tea and innovative solution design workshop at the Gambung Tea Plantation, explored the philosophy and practice of batik-making at Batik Komar, learned about the history of international diplomacy at the Asian-African Conference Museum, and experienced traditional Sundanese performing arts at Saung Angklung Udjo.
Overall, the FEB Summer Program 2026 supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The program concluded with group presentations. The Dean of FEB Unpad, Prof. Mohammad Fahmi, commended participants’ enthusiasm and expressed hope that the networks formed would open opportunities for international academic collaboration in the future. The Head of the Internationalization Unit at FEB Unpad, Arie Widyastuti, extended appreciation to all academics, international partners, speakers, and organizing committee members. This year’s implementation evaluation will serve as the basis for enhancing the quality and impact of the Summer Program in the years ahead
