Brilliant Achievements, Dedication to the Nation: The Promise of New Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Unpad

“Strive to achieve high academic achievement to be put into practice for the benefit of the people, nation, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.”


This is one of the pledges made by new students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (FEB Unpad) for the 2025/2026 academic year as their first step into the world of higher education.


FEB Unpad officially held its New Student Admissions Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Monday morning with great solemnity. The event began with a procession of leaders and professors taking the stage, accompanied by the strains of traditional Sundanese Karatagan music. The series of events continued with a report from the Vice Dean for Learning, Student Affairs, and Research, Dr. Adiatma Yudistira Manogar Siregar, SE., ME.Con.St., and a speech from the Dean of the Faculty. This was followed by a symbolic handover of new student documents to each Head of Study Program. The Vice Dean for Resources and Organization, Dina Sartika, SE, M.Sc., Ph.D. The event then introduced the FEB Unpad management, followed by a warm jacket-pinning ceremony. Another key moment in the admissions procession was the reading of the New Student Pledge, which outlines the primary commitment to becoming an FEB Unpad student.


This year, FEB Unpad admitted 1,051 new students across various levels and study programs. At the undergraduate level, the study program with the largest number of students was Management (225), followed by Accounting (203), and Economics (155). Meanwhile, at the Master’s level, the Management Study Program had the largest number of students, with 63 students. At the doctoral level, Economics and Management Science each accepted 10 students.


The selection process for the Undergraduate Study Programs demonstrated fierce competition, particularly for the Digital Business Study Program, with a 42.23% acceptance rate, followed by Management (39.30%) and Accounting (33.68%). For the Master’s Program, Applied Economics has the highest competitiveness (2.57%), while for the Doctoral Program, Management Science is the most competitive (1.3%).
