Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran (FEB Unpad) proudly co-hosted the 4th International Postgraduate Research Symposium (INPOS) 2025 in collaboration with the School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on 18–19 November 2025 at the Amari Hotel in Penang. It carries the central theme, “Smart Research for Impact: Catalysing AI in Shaping a Sustainable Future.” which opened a global dialogue on the role of artificial intelligence in advancing research innovation and sustainability.
FEB Unpad demonstrated significant contribution through the participation of Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Hamzah Ritchi as a Keynote Speaker. In his address entitled “Smart Research for Impact: Scaling AI for Green and Green in AI,” he highlighted how AI technologies can strengthen impactful research in environmental sectors—from precision agriculture and deforestation detection to ecosystem services assessment. His key message emphasized the importance of ethical and responsible AI governance.
Our Dean Prof. Dr. Hj. Nunuy Nur Afiah who delivered the official remarks on behalf of FEB Unpad, as well as Prof. Alfiah Hasanah, Head of Bachelor of Economics Study Program, attended the event in the context of reinforcing academic ties between FEB Unpad and USM.
Outstanding achievement also came from the research team led by Dina Sartika, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Resources and Organization at FEB Unpad. Together with her team, Kurnia Khafidhatur Rafiah, S.T., M.M., Sulwani Husna Afrizal , S.T., M.M. and Virsahaya Fachrilla, S.E., M.S.M., their paper were awarded the Bronze Prize – Best Paper Award. Their study examined the relationship between Digital Employee Experience (DEX), User Engagement (UE), and Employee Performance (PRF) among civil servants in West Java, utilized a PLS-SEM approach and provided evidence that optimal digital experiences significantly enhance employee performance, particularly through stronger engagement in e-HRM systems.
Beyond scientific contributions, INPOS 2025 also served as an important platform for strengthening international collaboration. FEB Unpad and the School of Management (SOM) USM signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) covering postgraduate preparatory programs, student exchange initiatives, credit transfer recognition, joint academic seminars, faculty exchange, and the development of an International Summer Camp. This agreement marks a strategic milestone in expanding FEB Unpad’s global academic ecosystem for both students and faculty members.
