Askrindo Syariah & FEB UNPAD Supports Young Higher Education Entrepreneurs

President Commissioner of PT Askrindo Syariah Financing Guarantee (PT JPAS), Dr. Siti Ma’rifah, MH, MM., on Wednesday, May 15 2024 gave a public lecture, taking place in Epsilon room 308, LEAD Building, Faculty of Business Economics (FEB), Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), Jatinangor, West Java. The event was attended by more than 200 FEB students and lecturers. This public lecture event was moderated by Dr. Asep Mulyana, SE., MCE., Chair of the Integrated Microfinance Management Masters Study Program & Chair of the Entrepreneurship Concentration FEB UNPAD.

The event was opened by Dr. Kurniawan Saefullah, SE., MEC, Deputy Dean of FEB UNPAD, in his speech Dr. Kurniawan said that this public lecture aims to open students’ insight into the importance of developing an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age.

This public lecture event presented another speaker, namely Dr. Antoni Ludfi Arifin, SE., MM.,—lecturer, writer, and business practitioner—in his presentation, he stated that it is important to build IKHTIAR values, namely integrity, collaboration, humility, tactfulness, and inspiring others. inspiring), Agile (agile), and Respect (mutual respect), these good values can be a provision for students to start entrepreneurship.

Dr. Siti Marifah, MH., MM., in delivering the material involved interactive questions to the students present, one of whom was Muhammad Rafif Rizqullah, who apparently already has a start-up business in the form of web design, web hosting, and plans to develop a mental health consultation portal for students who are experiencing life problems. “Do you also have obstacles in entrepreneurship?” explained Dr. Siti Ma’rifah, MH., MM., then collaboration is the best way to get resources that we don’t have by sharing with other partners who do.

He further gave an example, we don’t have to have a factory to do business, we can do manufacturing/tool manufacturing from sources that have factories. An example of this collaboration can also be carried out between students who have potential that others do not have. This includes collaboration between campus and industry, academics and practitioners. Business incubation carried out by students can collaborate with companies, including PT JPAS collaborating with universities for student apprenticeship programs, and conversely increasing the competency of Askrindo Syariah employees through further study at universities.

This public lecture event will then be followed up with a circular desk signing (signing) of the MoU between FEB UNPAD and PT JPAS regarding internship programs, lecture collaboration in developing micro businesses and sharia microfinance institutions, and other collaborations.
