The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Padjadjaran University (Unpad) held an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) in the Education Sector in 2024, at the Lead Building, Jatinangor, Friday (3/5/2024). This activity presented four external auditors, namely Prof. Emi Sukiyah (Geological Engineering), Dr. Siti Nurhasanah (Agricultural Industrial Technology), Nani Darmayanti, Ph.D. (Cultural Sciences), and Dr. Nyi Mekar Saptarini (Pharmacy).

Present at this activity were the management of FEB Unpad: Deputy Dean for Academic, Student Affairs and Research FEB Unpad Prof. Maman Setiawan, Deputy Dean for Resources and Organization Dr. Kurniawan Saefullah, managers, unit heads and heads of study programs.

Head of Quality Assurance Unit FEB Unpad Budi Harsanto, Ph.D., FHEA. said AMI was carried out to check the conformity between implementation and established standards. On the other hand, implementing AMI is important to maintain the quality of education provided by FEB Unpad.

The quality of education referred to is not only related to teaching, but as a whole. Starting from education, research, PKM, and typical Unpad. On the unique aspects of Unpad, especially regarding governance and organization.

Apart from the quality of education, the implementation of AMI also supports continuous improvement. It was explained that in the audit carried out there were several categories, namely not meeting, meeting and exceeding. If aspects are found that do not meet then there is room for improvement to meet existing standards. Likewise, if it meets then it is encouraged to exceed existing standards.

“AMI is of course an effort to build trust from various stakeholders, such as parents, students and the community in general, that the quality of education at FEB Unpad is maintained consistently, systematically and sustainably,” said Budi.

It was further said that FEB is the first faculty at Unpad to hold AMI 2024. This is in line with FEB’s tagline, namely leading and inspiring. As is known, after a process of around 2 years, 14 study programs at FEB Unpad have been unconditionally accredited by FIBAA in early 2024. This unconditional achievement from the accreditation institution based in Germany is the first at Unpad.

Almost all study programs at FEB are accredited Superior by the national accreditation agency Lamemba, excellence is the highest ranking of national accreditation. FEB is also a pioneer of the integrity zone at Unpad, has obtained WBK and is the only one at Unpad at the moment. (Joniar Fani)
