FEB Unpad Achieves ABEST21 International Accreditation and Good Practice Award in Tokyo, Japan
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran (FEB Unpad) has once again made an achievement at the international level by achieving the ABEST21 International Accreditation Certificate for the period 2025–2029. The certificate was officially presented by the President and CEO of ABEST21 International, Professor Emeritus Fumio Itoh, to the Dean of FEB Unpad, Prof. Dr. Hj. Nunuy Nur Afiah, M.Sc., Ak., CA, in a series of events for the ABEST21 International Annual Conference 2025 held at the United Nations University, Tokyo, Japan, on May 26, 2025. This achievement is the second accreditation achieved by FEB Unpad from ABEST21, which shows FEB Unpad’s commitment to maintaining superior business education quality standards that are relevant to global developments.
In the same event, FEB Unpad also received the prestigious Good Practice Award in the category of “Business School’s Research and Engagement Focus”, as a form of appreciation for ongoing efforts in strengthening a research culture that is closely connected to the needs of society and stakeholders. This award also shows that FEB Unpad is not only superior in the academic realm, but also actively builds impactful collaborations.
FEB Unpad’s presence at the international conference was even more special with the involvement of Prof. Nunuy as one of the speakers in the Panel Discussion session themed “Nurturing Human Resources and Developing Competitive Education Programs in the Global South.” In his presentation, Prof. Nunuy emphasized the importance of building a higher education system that is adaptive to the needs of industry and the challenges of the times, as well as the need for cross-institutional collaboration in producing superior human resources who are ready to contribute at the global level.
ABEST21 (The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow) is an international organization that focuses on improving the quality of business and management education through an accreditation system, global cooperation, and curriculum development that answers the challenges of the 21st century. This year’s conference also celebrated the 20th anniversary of ABEST21 and was attended by various higher education institutions from all over the world who are committed to shaping a more competitive and sustainable future of education. The series of conference activities closed with a visit to Hakone, Japan, the birthplace of ABEST21 International, on May 27, 2025.
This achievement is an important milestone in the internationalization journey of FEB Unpad. This certification and award are not only recognition of quality, but also trigger the spirit to continue to innovate, strengthen global networks, and improve continuous quality.
