Preparation for PSAK 118 and PSPK 1 and 2: LRT Jakarta Partners with the Center of Accounting Studies (CAS) FEB Unpad in Financial Reporting Training
BANDUNG, February 13, 2026 – The Center of Accounting Studies, Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (CAS FEB Unpad) received a visit from the management of PT LRT Jakarta on Friday (February 13). The visit focused on training and discussions regarding the implementation of PSAK 118: Presentation of Financial Statements and PSPK 1 and 2 (Statements of Financial Reporting Standards), which are sustainability reporting standards. These two standards will become effective in Indonesia on January 1, 2027.
The PT LRT Jakarta delegation was led by Sahurdi (Director of Finance & Business Support), accompanied by Budi Sarjono (Head of the Finance & Accounting Division) and Wara Permana (Head of the Accounting & Taxation Department). They were welcomed by the Head of CAS FEB Unpad, Dr. Ersa Tri Wahyuni, Ph.D., CPMA, CA, along with a team of experts from the CAS FEB Unpad.
PSAK 118 is a crucial standard that adopts IFRS 18, which will significantly change the presentation structure of companies’ income statements and cash flows. LRT Jakarta’s proactive approach to collaborating with academics demonstrates a strong commitment to financial transparency and accountability.
The Head of CAS FEB Unpad, Dr. Ersa Tri Wahyuni, emphasized the importance of synergy between academics and practitioners in strengthening the business ecosystem in Indonesia.
“One of the main objectives of CAS FEB Unpad is to contribute to improving the governance of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD) in Indonesia. We are very pleased to be part of LRT Jakarta’s journey to continuously maintain updated knowledge regarding financial accounting standards. Early preparation for the implementation of PSAK 118 and PSPK is a smart step to ensure financial reports remain relevant and accountable in the future,” said Dr. Ersa.
The Head of the Accounting and Taxation Department at LRT Jakarta, Wara Permana, explained that the visit aimed to ensure the company’s finance team had a comprehensive understanding of the latest regulations. The discussion focused not only on the new standards for financial statement presentation but also on sustainability reporting standards relevant to the preparation of the Company’s sustainability report.
“As a company operating in the public transportation sector, it is crucial for us to understand the latest PSAK updates, particularly PSAK 118, which will come into effect in 2027. We want to ensure our team receives the appropriate knowledge updates, especially on aspects directly related to the characteristics of the transportation industry. By understanding these changes early, we can anticipate and better prepare for the company’s future financial reporting,” said Wara.
The meeting also served as a forum for discussions regarding exploring further collaboration between the two parties. CAS FEB Unpad and LRT Jakarta discussed plans for a professional certification preparation training program for LRT Jakarta accounting staff to improve the technical competency of human resources, as well as plans for collaboration in the form of in-depth accounting studies relevant to LRT Jakarta’s operational needs.
This synergy also aligns with Padjadjaran University’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure through strengthening public transportation governance, and SDG 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals. By ensuring transparent and high-quality financial reporting, both institutions contribute to building a strong and sustainable institution.
