Jakarta, August 2026 — The Master of Management (MM) Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (FEB Unpad) is continuing its series of Capstone Projects for students of the Project-Based MM Program in the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Collaboration Class.
The series of activities continued through a workshop entitled “Building a Strong Master’s Capstone Project: From Business Problems to Evidence-Based Solutions” which presented Prof. Sunu Widianto, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. as a resource person. The activity continued with a Capstone Proposal Mentoring session to help students finalize the project design to be developed.
This activity is a continuation of the Design Thinking Workshop which previously equipped students with a design thinking approach in identifying and understanding real problems faced in the world of work.
Through this workshop, students are directed to develop the problems that have been identified into a more structured Capstone Project, emphasizing the importance of using data and evidence as a basis for formulating solutions. This approach is expected to produce projects that are not only academically strong, but also relevant and applicable to the needs of professional workers.
In the mentoring session, students receive more in-depth input on their respective proposals, starting from the sharpness of the problem formulation, the approach used, to the relevance of the solutions offered. The mentoring process is accompanied by supervisors and instructors, namely Prof. Dr. Sofik Handoyo, S.E., Ak., MSBS., and Dr. Umi Kaltum, S.E., MS., and Head of the FEB Unpad Master of Management Study Program, Dr. Rita Komaladewi, S.P., M.M. This assistance provides academic reinforcement while ensuring that each proposal has a clear direction, methodology and objectives before entering the project development stage.
The Capstone Project series represents the Project-Based Learning approach which is one of the characteristics of learning in the MM FEB Unpad Program. Through this approach, students are encouraged to integrate academic knowledge with professional experience to produce solutions to real problems.
The collaboration between MM FEB Unpad and BPKP through this collaborative class also strengthens the commitment to providing master’s education that is relevant to professional needs. By connecting academic knowledge, professional experience, and evidence-based solutions, students are prepared to produce projects that provide added value and real impact for organizations.
