Jakarta, 27 August 2026 — How do business leaders read economic changes, determine strategic direction, and make decisions amidst uncertainty? This question was part of the Lead Talk discussion “Shaping Indonesian Future: Perspective from Business Leaders” held by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (FEB Unpad) for new postgraduate program students at the Unpad Jakarta Campus, Thursday (27/8).
Dean of FEB Unpad Prof. Mohamad Fahmi opened the activity and expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the students who attended offline. According to him, the forum which presents leaders from various industrial sectors provides an opportunity for students to get a direct picture of the dynamics of the professional world.
“I appreciate the enthusiasm of the students who attended this activity offline. I am sure that students will gain valuable insight from the speakers presented,” said Prof. Mohamad Fahmi.
Three leaders from different industrial sectors were present as resource persons, namely Miftahuddin Amin, Director of Human Capital and General Affairs PTPN III (Persero); Rico Tasmaya, Corporate Banking Director PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.; and Yudi R. Darun, Director of Finance and Risk Management at InJourney Holding. The discussion was guided by Yuri Yogaswara, Director of Daya Dimensi Indonesia.
The presence of resource persons brings students into discussions that are closer to the realities of the business world. Experience in the BUMN holding sector, banking, as well as the tourism industry and risk management shows that leadership challenges are not only related to achieving business targets, but also the ability to read changes and determine strategic steps.
Lead Talk is designed to provide strategic insight to students regarding leadership while broadening their perspective on the future of the Indonesian economy. Discussions are also an opportunity for students to identify various opportunities, challenges and strategies needed to face changes in the business environment.
For graduate students, most of whom are projected to take on strategic roles in the professional world, direct interaction with industry leaders is an important experience. The perspectives shared by the speakers can be used as material for reflection in developing leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Apart from the academic aspect, this activity brings together the FEB Unpad academic community with practitioners and alumni networks. The support of the FEB Unpad Alumni Association (IKA FEB Unpad) also strengthens this collaboration space.
Through Lead Talk, FEB Unpad presents learning that connects the academic space with industrial dynamics, while encouraging students to see Indonesia’s future from the perspective of leadership and the business world.
