Strategic Cooperation between FEB Unpad and Kapuas Regency Government for Regional Financial Management
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (FEB Unpad) affirmed its commitment to supporting the development of regional financial governance through strategic cooperation with the Kapuas Regency Government, Central Kalimantan Province. This was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement which took place on Friday, January 31, 2025.
This cooperation aims to develop a system and procedures for more effective and efficient regional financial management guidelines. In this agreement, FEB Unpad was represented by the Dean Prof. Dr. Nunuy Nur Afiah, SE., M.Sc., Ak., CA., while the Kapuas Regency Government was represented by Marlina Kasyfiatie, SE., M.AB., as the Head of the Regional Finance and Asset Agency.
Prof. Dr. Nunuy Nur Afiah said that this Cooperation Agreement (PKS) is a real manifestation of FEB Unpad’s contribution in supporting transparent and accountable financial governance at the regional government level. “We are committed to providing academic and technical support in improving the quality of regional financial management, as part of efforts to advance regional development,” he said.
Through this collaboration, FEB Unpad will provide experts and appropriate academic methods to ensure the success of the preparation of the system and procedures for the guidelines. This step is in line with FEB Unpad’s vision to become a strategic partner for local governments in responding to increasingly complex financial management challenges. Both parties agree that synergy between the academic world and government is a strategic step to create innovation in financial management.
With this agreement, FEB Unpad shows its contribution to better regional development. This agreement is expected to be the beginning of a sustainable partnership between universities and local governments to support quality and highly competitive governance.
In addition to the signing of the cooperation agreement between FEB Unpad and the Kapuas Regency Government for the preparation of the system and procedures for regional financial management guidelines, the event also saw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Padjadjaran University by the Rector of Unpad, Prof. Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, dr., SpM(K), M.Kes., PhD. and the Kapuas Regency Government by the Regent of Kapuas Regency, Ir. H. Darliansjah, M.Si.
Prof. Arief emphasized the importance of this cooperation in encouraging development transformation in the region. “Padjadjaran University has a great responsibility to become a strategic partner for the regional government in facing various development challenges. Through this MoU, we are ready to provide real contributions in developing human resource capacity and regional innovation,” said the Chancellor.
