The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad, in collaboration with the FEB Alumni Association (IKAFEB) Unpad, held an Alumni Network Forum to strengthen the alumni partnership network and serve as a platform for disseminating faculty achievements and gaining input for the development of FEB Unpad.
With the theme “Connect, Collaborate, Contribute,” this event is expected to provide a momentum for alumni to re-establish relationships, strengthen harmony, and open up opportunities for strategic collaboration between alumni and the faculty.
The event was attended by alumni from across the academic year, as well as FEB Unpad leaders and administrators.
On this occasion, the Manager of Research, Cooperation, and Innovation, Prof. Sofik Handoyo, introduced the KITA Unpad (Alumni Transformation Collaboration and Innovation) application, which serves as a platform to connect, empower, and strengthen alumni networks across various fields. Through various features such as data updates, AlumNews, events and networking, job openings, and a loyalty program, this application allows alumni to stay connected with their alma mater, expand professional development opportunities, and serve as a collaborative space that strengthens the solidarity of the Unpad alumni community.
The Executive Chair of the Alumni Network Forum, Syahraki Sahrir, who also serves as the Chair of IKAFEB, also introduced the IKAFEB management for the 2025–2029 period, consisting of alumni from across generations and departments. He emphasized IKAFEB’s commitment to providing a communication platform for all alumni and a creative space for active students. This commitment is exemplified by the launch of the SAWALA alumni portal, accessible through https://ikafebunpad.org/.
SAWALA (Synergy of Alumni Forums Across Generations of KAFEB Unpad), philosophically derived from Sundanese, means a space for conversation and deliberation to gather, interact, and grow together. SAWALA is a strategic alumni platform and channel aimed at strengthening reach, engagement, and building long-term relationships among alumni. This platform bridges intellectual insights and shared values by presenting various superior features, ranging from an alumni directory, news, a gallery of moments, to a job portal, all under the spirit of “Moving, Together, Beneficial.”
In his remarks, the Dean of FEB Unpad, Prof. Dr. Nunuy Nur Afiah presented the achievements of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad over the past five years, both at the national and international levels, including academic achievements and the development of facilities and infrastructure. Prof. Nunuy also expressed his appreciation to Syahraki Sahrir and the IKAFEB staff for successfully revitalizing the alumni spirit of togetherness and increasing contributions through collaboration with active students in various programs and training. He expressed his hope that IKAFEB would continue to be a unifying force for the FEB Unpad academic community.
Also present was Prof. Mohamad Fahmi, the Dean-elect of FEB Unpad for the 2026–2030 period. In his remarks, Prof. Fahmi emphasized the importance of alumni in developing a curriculum relevant to the needs of industry and government. He emphasized that FEB Unpad is entering a transitional phase in education that is increasingly integrated with artificial intelligence technology, thus requiring stronger synergy with alumni. Prof. Fahmi encouraged all alumni to continue collaborating, contributing, and providing constructive criticism for the advancement of the faculty.
The forum concluded with a panel discussion session featuring Prof. Arief Anshory Yusuf (Member of the National Economic Council) and Agus Noorsanto (Deputy President Director of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk) on the theme “Indonesia’s Macroeconomic Conditions and Challenges to Indonesian Economic Growth.” Moderated by Dadan Gunawan, a member of the Faculty of Economics and Business (IKA FEB) board, the discussion was interactive, with active participation from alumni.
The Alumni Network Forum is expected to be the first step in organizing future forums that can further strengthen ties and collaboration between alumni and the Unpad FEB academic community.
