The Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (FEB Unpad) was honored with a visit from the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, who was accompanied by the Rector of Unpad, Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita, Vice Rector for Planning, Digital Transformation, Finance and Business Management of Unpad, Prof. Maman Setiawan along with other university leaders and Vice Dean for Resources and Organization of FEB Unpad, Dina Sartika, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. along with other faculty board.
During this visit, Bey Machmudin, had a dialogue with the academic community to explore the potential for research and innovation that can be a catalyst for regional development. He also reviewed several of Unpad’s superior facilities, one of which is the LEAD Building of FEB Unpad. FEB Unpad is one of the representatives of Unpad’s academic ecosystem that supports the development of economic, business, and public policy research.
On this occasion, Bey also interacted directly with FEB Unpad students, listening to their views and aspirations regarding the role of higher education in supporting regional policies. This discussion further emphasizes the role of FEB Unpad as an institution that not only produces superior academics and professionals, but also actively contributes to building a better economic ecosystem for West Java.
This visit also strengthens the synergy between the academic world and the government sector, especially FEB Unpad and the West Java Provincial Government in accelerating innovation-based development. Both can further strengthen their shared commitment to encouraging research and innovation to support sustainable development by continuing to present research that is relevant, implementable, and has a real impact on society.
