Jatinangor, September 23, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (FEB Unpad), in collaboration with Bisnis Indonesia Daily, held the Bisnis Indonesia Goes to Campus (BIGC) 2025 event, titled “The Future is Yours,” at Bale Santika, Padjadjaran University. This event featured a series of inspiring talk shows aimed at broadening students’ horizons regarding the world of business, leadership, digitalization, and career planning amidst the challenges of the digital economy.
The event, which ran from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. WIB, featured several expert speakers in their fields, including Dina Sartika, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Human Resources and Organization, FEB Unpad; Fahmi Achmad, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Bisnis Indonesia; Dr. Mery Citra Sondari, S.E., M.Sc., Head of the Undergraduate Digital Business Study Program, FEB Unpad; Ega Dwi Maresthy, Director of People & Corporate Affairs, Batumbu; and Sugeng Suharyono, Commercial Director of PT Garuda Beverage Sukses. These speakers shared experiences and perspectives on leadership, business, and innovation relevant to the needs of the younger generation.
Dina Sartika, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., representing the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Padjadjaran University (Unpad), emphasized in her opening remarks that collaboration between universities, companies, and the fintech sector is a crucial foundation in preparing the younger generation to face global dynamics. “Through this activity, we hope that FEB Unpad students will not only gain inspiration but also develop relevant skills, think innovatively, and identify opportunities to become future leaders of the nation,” she said.
In the first session of the event, Batumbu, a fintech lending company, discussed its role in supporting MSMEs through fast and secure access to financing. This support has been proven to increase product distribution and sales by up to 50 percent, while simultaneously smoothing the wheels of the economy. Furthermore, Batumbu emphasized the importance of early financial literacy through SMART goals-based planning and opening career opportunities for students through the Batumbu Talent Program.
On the other hand, Bisnis Indonesia Group, founded in 1985, is committed to always being a trusted business navigator. The inspiring profile of Garuda Food also added insight to the event. Garuda Food, which grew from a small and medium enterprise (MSME) into a global company with more than 7,500 employees, 125 depots, and 160 distributors throughout Indonesia, explained that its success is inseparable from adaptive and transformational leadership that emphasizes empowerment, collaboration, and the development of a corporate culture. This model is believed to be key to facing industry challenges while maintaining business sustainability.
The forum also touched on Indonesia’s vision of achieving food self-sufficiency by 2027. Equitable access and distribution of quality food are seen as crucial aspects of maintaining food security and supporting national economic growth.
From an academic perspective, Dr. Mery Citra from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Padjadjaran University (Unpad) highlighted that the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has transformed business patterns, supply chains, and consumer behavior. This has opened up significant opportunities in the digital sector, from e-commerce and social commerce to creative jobs such as content creation, freelance work, and digital product development. Therefore, students are required to equip themselves with a growth mindset, digital skills, and adaptability to compete in this new era.
This event not only provided insights and inspiration but also engaged students interactively through games, CV consultations, and attractive prizes from partners. The presence of BIGC 2025 at FEB Unpad demonstrates the Faculty’s efforts to equip its students with business literacy, adaptive leadership, and the ability to identify opportunities in the digital era, enabling them to play a vital role in driving sustainable Indonesian economic growth.
