FEB Unpad Opens PPM 2026 Activities in Sukawangi Village, Cianjur

Cianjur, May 22, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University, held the opening ceremony for the 2026 Community Service Program (PPM FEB Unpad) in Sukawangi Village, Warungkondang District, Cianjur Regency, on Friday, May 22, 2026.

 
The opening ceremony took place in the Saung Kahayang Meeting Room in Warungkondang, Cianjur Regency, and was attended by approximately 20 participants from the village and approximately 50 participants from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB Unpad).

 

The 2026 PPM FEB Unpad activity is part of the faculty’s commitment to strengthening academic contributions to the community, particularly through village mentoring and development programs. The opening ceremony began with a prayer, followed by remarks from the Warungkondang District Head, the Sukawangi Village Head, the Dean of FEB Unpad, and representatives of the FEB Unpad Professors.

 

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad, Mohamad Fahmi, stated that the faculty aims to apply its knowledge to support village development through the three pillars of the FEB Community Service Program (PPM FEB). “The faculty wants to apply its knowledge to village development through the three pillars of PPM FEB,” said the Dean.

 

The Head of Sukawangi Village expressed his appreciation for the presence of FEB Unpad and expressed his support for the implementation of the PPM program in Sukawangi Village. “We are grateful for the presence of FEB Unpad and we support this PPM program,” he said.

 

Representatives of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) also expressed their support. According to the BPD, this community service program is unique because it is designed to be implemented over a three-year period. This is considered to provide greater scope for mentoring, evaluation, and program sustainability with the village community.

 

Meanwhile, representatives of the FEB Unpad Professors emphasized that the 2026 PPM FEB Unpad offers thematic activities, allowing the program to be more focused on the needs and potential of Sukawangi Village.

 

On this occasion, the Head of the 2026 PPM FEB Unpad, Cupian, S.E., M.T., Ph.D., outlined the planned activities for the 2026 PPM FEB. This presentation served as the basis for a joint discussion between the village and the faculty to align village needs with the proposed program. According to the official agenda, the opening ceremony also included a discussion and feedback from the Sukawangi Village Government on the planned PPM activities, as well as the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between Sukawangi Village and FEB Unpad.

 

Following the formal events, participants took a village tour to firsthand experience the various potentials and facilities available in Sukawangi Village. Visits included the SPPG (Student Service Center), BUMDes (Village-Owned Enterprise), the Merah Putih Cooperative, the Village Office, and the village product locations. This tour served as an important part of the initial mapping process for the village’s potential and strengthened the FEB Unpad team’s understanding of the local social and economic context.

 

The series of activities concluded with the inauguration of a sign for the Village Assisted by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University, in Sukawangi Village. This inauguration marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad and Sukawangi Village in implementing the 2026 Community Service Program (PPM).

 

Through this activity, FEB Unpad hopes that the PPM program will not only be a short-term community service activity but also a sustainable collaboration capable of making a real contribution to strengthening village capacity, developing local economic potential, and improving the welfare of the Sukawangi Village community.
