FEB Unpad Strengthens Access to Postgraduate Education through the Open Campus Masters by Project in Jakarta

Jakarta, January 30, 2026. The Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University, held an Open Campus Master’s Program by Project at the FEB Unpad Jakarta Representative Campus, Menara Mutiara Kuningan, South Jakarta. The event was attended by approximately 100 participants, consisting of FEB Unpad alumni and professionals from Jakarta and the surrounding areas. This Open Campus program is intended for professionals and aspiring academics who wish to pursue a master’s degree through a project-based learning approach that is flexible, applicable, and relevant to the needs of the workforce in the center of national economic activity.

 

This Open Campus program affirms FEB Unpad’s strategic presence in Jakarta as part of efforts to expand access to quality higher education. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4 on quality education, SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth, and SDG 17 on partnerships. Through project-based learning and cross-sector collaboration, FEB Unpad strengthens its contribution to human resource capacity development and impactful education.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad, Mohamad Fahmi, stated that the Jakarta-based Master’s Program by Project has entered its third year and has demonstrated consistent progress. This program is designed to address the need for professional competency development through real-world challenge-based learning, while maintaining academic standards and policy relevance. The FEB Unpad Representative Campus in Jakarta is also positioned as a hub for academic activities, alumni networking, and educational and training collaboration.

 

During the academic presentation session, FEB Unpad provided information on two master’s programs offered in Jakarta. The Master’s Program in Digital Economics was presented by Prof. Bayu Kharisma, Head of the Applied Economics Study Program, with an emphasis on strengthening digital economic analysis, data-driven policies, and projects relevant to national economic dynamics. The Master’s Program in Strategic Management was presented by Prof. Sunu Widianto, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FEB Unpad, highlighting a project-based strategic management approach, leadership, and decision-making within the context of modern organizations. Both presentations also covered the curriculum structure, learning methods, and registration pathways, including special schemes for outstanding alumni.

 

In addition to academic presentations, the event also featured a sharing session with FEB Unpad alumni who have made a mark at the national level. Yuri Yogaswara, Director of Strategic Development at Dayalima Group and a 1997 FEB Unpad alumnus, and Syahraki Syahrir, Chair of the IKA FEB Unpad and CEO of Veda Praxis, shared their leadership experiences in a session titled “The Role of FEB Unpad Alumni as Leaders of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).” The interactive discussion session provided participants with the opportunity to ask questions and share insights and experiences, enriching the audience’s understanding of leadership, governance, and the strategic contributions of alumni.

 

Through the Open Campus Magister by Project in Jakarta, FEB Unpad affirmed its commitment as a higher education institution oriented toward impact, collaboration, and global relevance. This activity is expected to expand the reach of postgraduate education services, strengthen the role of alumni as strategic partners, and support FEB Unpad’s contribution to achieving the sustainable development agenda and strengthening the reputation of Indonesian higher education internationally.
