Unpad’s Faculty of Economics and Business is a Target, Hundreds of Students Enthusiastically Attend the Unpad Booth at the 2026 Unpad Open Campus Event

JATINANGOR – The Bale Santika Auditorium on the Jatinangor campus of Padjadjaran University (Unpad) was packed with thousands of high school students on Saturday (January 10, 2026) for the “Let’s Get to Know Unpad: Open Campus 2026” event. A total of 4,600 prospective students from 1,387 schools across various regions, from West Java to areas outside Java such as Aceh and Sulawesi, attended to learn more about Unpad.

The high level of participant interest prompted the committee to increase the quota from the initial 3,000 to 4,600. Unpad Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita, stated that Open Campus is designed to provide accurate information directly from the source, so students can gain a comprehensive picture of the world of studying at Unpad.

Amidst the series of events, the Unpad Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) collaborated with the Unpad FEB Alumni Association (IKAFEB). The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) not only opened an information booth but also presented a series of activities specifically designed to provide a comprehensive overview of academic life and future prospects for FEB students.

One of the main sessions in the FEB Unpad area featured Yoseph Yusrizal, an FEB Unpad alumnus who currently serves as Director of PT Tirta Gemah Ripah (Tirta Jabar) and Director of Institutional Partnership at IKAFEB Unpad. In his presentation, Yoseph emphasized that studying at FEB Unpad is a crucial phase for self-exploration.

“The speed of achieving success needs to be balanced with a clear direction. Campus is a space to try out various roles, get to know yourself, and determine the most appropriate path before entering the professional world,” he said. He also highlighted the breadth of career opportunities for FEB Unpad graduates, ranging from the corporate world and academia to entrepreneurship and investment.

In the LEAD Building area of FEB Unpad, participants gained a more focused experience through various thematic activities. Through the FEB Talks session, prospective students received firsthand information about the lecture system at FEB Unpad, the curriculum for each study program, admission pathways, and the nature of learning in economics and business.

In the Explore Knowledge area, FEB Unpad showcased study program profiles, leading research, student work, and information about student organizations. Participants could consult directly with current students and faculty representatives to gain a deeper understanding of the academic world and discuss interests, talents, study program choices, and career prospects in various sectors. This session provided a personal dialogue space for students who were solidifying their future choices.

This experience was complemented by a Campus Tour of the Faculty Building, where participants were invited to gain a closer look at the Faculty of Economics and Business Unpad. They were able to see firsthand the classrooms, study areas, and supporting facilities used by students. This tour provided a glimpse into the daily life of an economics and business student at Unpad.

The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in the packed FEB Unpad booth throughout the event. Students actively asked questions about the study programs, learning system, research opportunities, and alumni network. In one corner of the FEB area, an interactive board was filled with colorful sticky notes containing the hopes and aspirations of participants who came to the booth. Many participants wrote down their desire to become part of the FEB Unpad family.

The presence and synergy of IKAFEB in all FEB Unpad activities also demonstrates the role of alumni as strategic partners of the faculty, ready to serve as mentors and bridges to the professional world.

Through Open Campus Unpad 2026, FEB Unpad hopes that prospective students will gain a comprehensive picture of the world of economics and business at Unpad and be motivated to spend their studies meaningfully and oriented towards real contributions to society.

We look forward to seeing you at FEB Unpad!
