The Joint Asian Conference on Business and Economic Studies: Conference on Diverse Business and Economic topics in Asia

Universitas Padjadjaran/UNPAD (Indonesia) together with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Universitas Udayana/UNUD (Indonesia) jointly organize conference that fosters and strengthens a dialogue between junior and experienced researchers, policy makers and practitioners, with a view to enhance collective understanding of the role and functioning of business and economic studies in regional areas.

This joint conference, is incorporated from the previous prestigious conferences such as the 8th Global Advance Research Conference on Management and Business Studies (8th GARCOMBS), the 6th Asian Conference on Business and Economic Studies (6th ACBES) and the International Conference on Economics and Business Universitas Udayana (2nd  ICONICS). It is also conducted as a form of implementation of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) regarding academic and research collaboration among those three universities.

Insightful speech from the President of UEH, Prof. Su Dinh Thanh, followed by the Rector of Unpad, Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti and Rector of Universitas Udayana, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, marking the start of the conference. Besides addressing key economic strength and challenges ahead, they also emphasized global partnership and collaboration which will enable us to discover joint solutions to the challenge we face on the era of disruptions.    

Couple of incredible experts from various background present here, bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise to those who attend the conference, such as Prof. Subal C. Kumbhakar, Profesor at Binghamton University – SUNY, United States of America Co-Editor of Empirical Economics, Prof. Gabriel S. Lee from University of Regensburg, Germany and Co-Editor of Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies, Assoc. Prof. Dong Nguyen from Durham University, United Kingdom, Prof. Michelle Greenwood, Professor at Monash University, Australia and Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Business Ethics, Prof. Rebecca Thornton from Baylor University, United States.

Approximately 297 persons from 27 countries had participated, expanding their opportunities for joint research, innovative practice, transformative ideas in global scale and other collaborative initiatives through this joint conference.
