Bandung, October 9, 2024 – The Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) became a resource person in the Lecturer Forum Discussion organized by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.
This activity focused on the discussion of the LAMEMBA accreditation form for the S-1 Sharia Accounting and S-1 Sharia Economics Study Programs with the theme “Improving Accreditation of the S-1 Sharia Accounting and S-1 Sharia Economics Study Programs.” In the event which took place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of FEBI, Soekarno-Hatta Campus, Bandung, resource persons from UPM FEB UNPAD, namely Budi Harsanto, Ph.D., FHEA (Head of UPM FEB UNPAD) and Joniar Fanni Widodo (Staff of UPM FEB UNPAD), shared their experiences in undergoing LAMEMBA accreditation. Budi explained about UPM FEB UNPAD’s experience in assisting study programs to achieve superior accreditation from LAMEMBA. He conveyed the key steps that need to be prepared by the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) and Study Program (PS), starting from registration, preparing documents, to field assessments.
“Among the important keywords in LAMEMBA accreditation to be able to excel are surpassing and internationalization. Surpassing DIKTI national standards and the institution’s strategic plan, and international competitiveness in various existing criteria and dimensions,” said Budi. He also reminded the importance of maintaining the quality of education through continuous internal evaluation and active collaboration between lecturers, education staff, and students.
Participants who attended this discussion included the Vice Dean of FEBI, as well as all existing study programs, such as S-1 Sharia Accounting, S-1 Sharia Economics, S-1 Management, and S-1 Sharia Financial Management. The discussion was active with a question and answer session where speakers from UPM FEB UNPAD provided concrete input related to the challenges faced by study programs in preparing for accreditation.
As a resource person, UPM FEB UNPAD brings a practical perspective based on their successful experience in assisting study programs at UNPAD towards superior accreditation. So far, UPM FEB Unpad has assisted 10 study programs at various levels at FEB Unpad for LAMEMBA accreditation, both S1, S2 and S3 and all of them obtained Excellent results. This collaboration signifies a strong effort between UPM FEB UNPAD and FEBI UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in improving the quality of higher education, especially in the field of Islamic Economics and Business, and ensuring that each study program is ready to face the challenges in the LAMEMBA accreditation process.
